Today Ready
Turns the weather into four morning answers — umbrella, laundry, outfit, and outdoor plans — conclusion first.
Overview
Today Ready is a weather app that skips the forecast and gives you the answer. Instead of charts and hourly graphs, it turns your local weather into the four calls you actually make every morning: whether to bring an umbrella, whether laundry is better indoors, whether a light jacket helps, and whether outdoor plans are easier earlier in the day.
The design philosophy is 'Open. See. Decide.' — one screen, four decision cards, conclusion first, with the weather data shown only as supporting evidence. There is no radar, no weekly forecast browsing, and no weather news, because the goal is to get you out the door, not keep you reading.
A prep checklist lets you tick items off as you get ready; today's checks stay for the day and reset the next morning. Home Screen widgets keep the top answer visible: the small widget shows the main prep conclusion, and the medium widget adds today's weather summary. Weather comes from Apple Weather/WeatherKit, with Open-Meteo as a fallback so the answers keep working.

Pricing
Today Ready is free on the App Store, with no ads and no paid features. App Store pricing can change, so check the store listing for current details.
Privacy
Today Ready uses your location only to fetch local weather for its decisions, and does not store your location on a server. There is no account, no tracking, and no ads, and the app does not sell personal data. The widget never requests location or fetches weather itself — it only reads the latest decision snapshot the app saved locally in an App Group container.

FAQ
Is Today Ready free?
Yes. It is free to download with no ads and no paid features. App Store pricing can change, so check the listing for current details.
What does the app do with my location?
Location is used only to fetch local weather so the app can show your umbrella, laundry, outfit, and outdoor decisions. It is not stored on a server, and there is no account or tracking.
Does Today Ready have a widget?
Yes. The small widget shows the top prep conclusion with compact temperature info, and the medium widget adds today's weather summary. Widgets show the latest saved snapshot and may ask you to open the app to refresh.
Where does the weather data come from?
Apple Weather/WeatherKit is the preferred provider. If WeatherKit is unavailable, the app falls back to Open-Meteo so the same local decisions keep working.
Is this a full forecast app?
No, by design. There is no radar, weekly forecast, or weather news — Today Ready shows only the four everyday decisions, with weather data as supporting evidence.
Do my checklist items carry over?
Today's checks stay for the day so you can see what is done, and they reset automatically the next day.
