Foot Size Check

Measure foot length and width from a photo, using a sheet of A4 paper as the size reference.

Overview

Foot Size Check turns your iPhone into a foot measuring tool using nothing but a sheet of A4 paper. Place a foot on the paper, take a photo from directly above, and the app calculates foot length, foot width, and a suggested Japanese shoe size range in 0.5 cm steps. It is made for parents who need to keep up with fast-growing kids' feet, but works for adults too.

Unlike mail-order measuring mats, there is nothing to buy or wait for: A4 paper is the reference object, and you can fine-tune the paper corners and measurement points by hand, so you stay in control of the result. Everything is processed on your device, with no account, no ads, and no upload.

The app can also estimate a JIS-standard width grade (E, 2E, and so on) from your measured length and width. Choose a men / women / kids category to enable it, and optionally enter a taped girth measurement for a closer match. Results are estimates; the app deliberately avoids claiming a guaranteed fit and recommends an in-store fitting before buying shoes.

Who It Is For

Main Features

How to Use

  1. Place a sheet of A4 paper on a flat floor and stand one foot on it (or use wall mode with the heel against the wall).
  2. Take a photo from directly above with your iPhone.
  3. Adjust the A4 corner markers and the foot measurement points by hand if needed.
  4. Read the measured foot length, width, and suggested JP shoe size range.
  5. Optionally pick a category (men / women / kids) to see a JIS width grade estimate, and enter a taped girth for a closer match.
  6. Save the result to history to track growth, with left and right feet recorded separately.

Pricing

Foot Size Check is free on the App Store, with no ads and no subscriptions. App Store pricing and availability can change, so check the store listing for the current details.

Privacy

Photos are processed on your device for measurement and are never uploaded by the app; they are not even saved into measurement history. Saved history contains measurement values only (name, foot side, length, width, size range, date), and you can delete entries or clear everything from Settings. The app does not collect personal data, does not use tracking or advertising SDKs, and does not require an account.

FAQ

Is Foot Size Check free?

Yes. The app is free to download and use, with no ads and no subscriptions. App Store pricing can change, so check the listing for current details.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Photos are processed on your device only. They are not uploaded to any server and are not stored in your measurement history.

What do I need to measure a foot?

Just a sheet of A4 paper and your iPhone. The paper acts as the size reference, so there is no measuring mat to order and no sign-up.

How accurate are the results?

Results are estimates. You can fine-tune the measurement points by hand for a better result, but shoe fit varies by brand, model, and foot shape, so an in-person fitting is recommended before buying shoes.

Can I track my child's foot growth over time?

Yes. Saved measurements build a growth history over time, and left and right feet are tracked separately.

What is the JIS width grade estimate?

Besides length, the app estimates a JIS-standard width grade (E, 2E, and similar) from your measured foot length and width. Choose a men / women / kids category to enable it, and enter a taped girth measurement for a more accurate match.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no account, no sign-up, and no cloud sync. All measurement records stay on your device.
